Teach middle school students the basics of programming, coding, and electronics. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary as the kits guide you through step-by-step, you are well-supported with teacher guides, and lessons can be paced according to your students’ abilities. You can integrate the kit throughout the curriculum, giving your students the opportunity to become confident in programming and electronics with guided sessions and open experimentation. You’ll also be teaching them vital 21st-century skills such as collaboration and problem-solving.

The Arduino Education Starter Kit contains all the hardware and software you need for eight students (in groups of 2). You get step-by-step-lessons, a teacher guide, exercises, and for a complete and in-depth class experience there’s also extra optional content including activities, concepts, history, and interesting facts. The online platform contains the teacher content, nine 90-minute lessons, and two open-ended group projects that teach students coding and electronics. Each lesson builds off the previous one, giving students a further opportunity to apply the skills and concepts they have already learned. Students also get an engineering logbook that they complete as they work through the lessons. The beginning of each lesson provides an overview, estimated completion times, and learning objectives. Throughout each lesson, there are teacher tips and information that help the lesson go smoothly. Key answers and extension ideas are provided at the end of each lesson.

These CTC (Creative Technologies in the Classroom) kits engage high school students in STEAM subjects and teach them how to use technology as a tool in a hands-on learning environment. A modular program including 15 hours of curriculum-aligned lessons and everything you need for 24 students, CTC GO! - Core Module enables students to create and test a series of fun, real-world experiments. Think of it like brushes and paint - you’re giving students what they need to learn and thrive while the collaborative approach teaches them important 21st-century skills. You’ll also get total teaching support with webinars, videos, and direct contact with an expert.

CTC GO! - Core Module is a getting started program including eight lessons, eight guided projects, and six self-guided projects that teach students how to use electronics and gives them an introduction to programming and coding. The lessons increase in difficulty from the very basics all the way through to learning different programming capabilities and building circuits for different sensors and actuators. During the six guided projects, students practice building structures and applying the knowledge acquired in the lessons. Once you have completed the lessons and projects, you will be ready, knowledgeable, and have the confidence to teach the six self-guided projects.

If you’ve taken your students through the CTC GO! - Core Module (EL-ARKIT44), the Motions Expansion Pack will build on what they have already learned about how to use technology as a tool and how to apply that knowledge in the real world. The Motions Expansion Pack challenges students to go a step further in computing and design and technology by introducing them to new and more complex programming concepts that develop their logical reasoning, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. As an educator, you’ll still get all the teaching support you need with webinars, videos, guides, and direct contact with an expert.
