How to Extend a Line to Meet Another Line

How do I extend a line so that it accurately meets another line?

Answer

There is no ‘extend to meet’ command as such, but the result that you want can be achieved as follows:

1. Select the line to extend and click Start Edit (bottom right hand corner)
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the red dot with the right hand mouse button.
   
   
   
   
3. Move the mouse to extend the line past the line you wish to meet then click the right button again.
   
   
   
   
4. Select End Edit (bottom right hand corner) and click off the line to de-select it.
   
   
   
   
5. Finally use Delete Part to delete the part of the line that you do not want.
